Nio Nears 150,000 Deliveries of Third-Generation ES8

Nio is set to reach 150,000 cumulative deliveries of its third-generation ES8 this week, roughly one year after the large all-electric SUV began shipping. ES8 deliveries totaled 99,948 in the first eight months of 2026, accounting for about 62% of volume for the main Nio brand.

The model has carried a broader recovery in volumes. Nio delivered 107,658 vehicles in the second quarter, up 49.4% year over year, with revenue rising 69.1% to 32.1 billion yuan. The quarter split into 60,945 units from the core Nio brand, 29,124 from Onvo and 17,589 from Firefly. August deliveries rose 14.5% to 35,836 vehicles.

Management guided third-quarter deliveries to 108,000 to 111,000 units, implying year-over-year growth of 24% to 27.5%, with September volumes expected between 36,230 and 39,230. The multi-brand structure has widened the addressable market, though margin progress rather than unit growth remains the key measure for the equity.
