American Airlines shares climbed again this week, closing near $15.43 after rising nearly 4% Thursday — a sharp recovery from the July 23 low around $13.31.
The rebound follows second-quarter results that topped expectations on both earnings and revenue, driven by more than 16% year-over-year growth across all cabins and regions on upbeat travel demand.
Analysts reinforced the move: JPMorgan lifted its price target to $24 with an Overweight rating, while Citi trimmed its target to $19 but maintained a Buy. The stock remains a closely watched recovery play in the airline group.
