DraftKings Stock Nears 52-Week Low as Prediction Markets Fail to Spark Rally

DraftKings shares fell to $20.98, down 3.74% and trading near a 52-week low of $20.46, marking a decline of more than 50% from the stock's 52-week high of $44.22. The drop comes even as the company pushes into prediction markets with its new exchange, DKeX, and notches regulatory wins including a favorable 9th Circuit ruling.

Analysts note that investors appear to be pricing DraftKings' core sportsbook business rather than crediting its prediction-market ambitions. The stock is trading well below its short- and long-term averages, 11.6% under its 20-day average and 20.3% under its 200-day average, technical levels that have so far limited any recovery attempts.

With shares near their 52-week floor, traders are watching whether support levels hold or give way to further selling as the sports-betting operator works to convince the market that its diversification strategy can offset a maturing core business.
