Fubo Rallies as Former Disney+ Chief Alisa Bowen Takes the Helm

FuboTV shares climbed nearly 10% to around $10 after the live-TV streaming provider announced a leadership change. Alisa Bowen took over as CEO on July 10, replacing co-founder David Gandler, who led the company through its 11-year expansion from startup to public sports-streaming platform.
Bowen arrives with a decade of leadership experience at Walt Disney, most recently as president of the Disney+ streaming service — a background investors read as a signal that Fubo intends to sharpen its content strategy and subscription economics.
The move comes as the streaming sector faces renewed scrutiny of growth durability, underscored this week by Netflix's forecast of a second straight quarter of slowing sales growth. Investors will look for Bowen's early priorities when Fubo next reports results.
