NIO is on track for a fourth straight monthly decline, with its U.S.-listed shares down about 7% in August, raising the stakes for the Chinese EV maker's second-quarter report due September 1. Retail sentiment on Stocktwits sits at 27 out of 100, just above the record low of 21 touched in late July.
The delivery picture is mixed. Second-quarter deliveries rose 49% year over year to 107,658 vehicles but missed the company's own guidance of 110,000 to 115,000. July offered a brighter data point: 35,934 vehicles delivered, up 71% from a year earlier.
Analysts remain constructive despite the drawdown. Consensus estimates call for revenue of about 33.6 billion yuan, up nearly 69% year over year, with EBITDA projected to swing to a roughly 1.8 billion yuan profit from a 3.75 billion yuan loss. The 24 analysts polled by S&P Global rate the stock a Buy on average, with a $7.36 price target.
