Pan American Silver Rallies Into Q2 Results as Miners Ride $100 Silver
Pan American Silver jumped nearly 7% as investors piled into silver-exposed miners ahead of the company's second-quarter results, released after Wednesday's close with a conference call set for Thursday. The move builds on silver's historic run above $100 an ounce, which has repriced the entire mining complex.
Peer Hecla Mining has rallied as well, up more than 5% on an upbeat silver price outlook. Hecla's own second quarter showed operating cash flow up 61% year over year to $175 million and free cash flow of $136 million, leaving the company effectively debt-free, with silver output rising 8% sequentially to 4.2 million ounces on record production at Lucky Friday.
Analysts point to tight physical supply as the backdrop favoring producers like Pan American, Hecla, and First Majestic through the rest of 2026, though sharp pullbacks remain a risk after the metal's rapid ascent.
