Bitcoin miners remain under pressure. Riot Platforms fell nearly 10% intraday on October 8, sliding from a late-September high near $25 to the $16-$17 range, as sentiment on mining profitability and regulation soured.
Bitcoin itself was trading around $82,800 on Monday. As a high-beta miner, Riot tends to move with the price of bitcoin, and technical watchers point to $16-$17 as support and $18-$20 as resistance.
Riot reports roughly $647 million in revenue with a gross margin near 48%, but recent quarterly results show a net loss of about $237 million, leaving the shares sensitive to crypto swings.
