Robinhood Draws a Wave of Price Target Hikes as New Revenue Lines Ramp
Robinhood has collected a run of bullish analyst revisions over the past two weeks. Morgan Stanley moved the stock to Overweight with a $150 target, pointing to growth engines across retirement accounts, banking, credit cards, advisory and prediction markets running through 2028. Scotiabank initiated coverage at Sector Outperform with a $136 target, and Piper Sandler lifted its target to $145 on prediction market revenue.
The shares traded between $111.06 and $120.57 on September 20, closing near $119.91. That leaves the stock well below the upgraded target range but far above where it started the year, and the August operating metrics behind the revisions showed growth in customers, platform assets, margin balances and crypto activity.
Management has been leaning into tokenization as the next distribution channel, arguing it allows the company to offer access to U.S. equities to customers outside the country. The counterweight remains regulatory: recent insider trading charges knocked roughly 5% off the stock and served as a reminder that the newer revenue lines carry supervisory risk alongside the growth.
