Super Micro Computer said a board-led independent investigation into export-control violations tied to a March indictment of three former associates has concluded, clearing current senior management of wrongdoing. The probe found no direct illegal sales occurred and affirmed the reliability of the company's past financial statements, removing a cloud that had hung over the AI server maker.

Alongside the announcement, Supermicro issued a preliminary business update pointing to fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue near the low end of its $11.0 billion to $12.5 billion guidance, but with gross margins now estimated at 15% to 17% — far above the prior 8.2% to 8.4% outlook.

The company also disclosed record backlog, with total new orders exceeding $60 billion received during the fourth quarter, underscoring persistent demand for AI infrastructure even as quarterly revenue timing remains lumpy.
