Super Micro Computer surged as much as 26.6% intraday before closing up nearly 20% at $30.56 after the AI server maker released strong preliminary quarterly results alongside a wave of large new AI infrastructure orders.

The company disclosed more than $60 billion in order backlog for its fiscal fourth quarter and sharply raised gross margin guidance to a range of 15% to 17%, up from the 8.2% to 8.4% projected in May. Super Micro also launched its H15 AMD-based server family and expanded liquid-cooling and rack-scale AI platforms aimed at cloud, HPC and agentic AI workloads.

The rally marks a dramatic turn for a stock that traded below $27 earlier this month amid dilution fears and rising competition, though pending patent-infringement investigations at the U.S. International Trade Commission remain a watch item as the company scales.
