Elon Musk said Tesla and SpaceX have each formed special committees to study a potential merger. Tesla shares closed up 3.41% at $386.47 on Wednesday, then fell about 4% in overnight trading after the news.

SpaceX (SPCX) closed up 7.79% at $159.31 after its quarterly results beat estimates, with AI accounting for roughly half of its $14.6 billion in revenue.

No terms have been announced, and committee reviews do not guarantee a deal. Shareholders of both companies will likely look for details on valuation and governance. This article is for information only and is not investment advice.
