UPS Reports Tuesday: Wall Street Looks for Return to Earnings Growth
United Parcel Service reports second-quarter results before Tuesday's opening bell, with analysts expecting earnings of about $1.66 per share, up roughly 6.5% from $1.55 a year ago, on revenue near $21.75 billion — a 2.5% increase from the year-ago quarter.
The report lands in the middle of the quarter's heaviest earnings week and will offer a read on both consumer shipping demand and business investment. UPS has topped Wall Street's EPS estimates in three of its last four quarters.
Investors will focus on U.S. domestic package margins, the pace of the company's network reconfiguration and cost-cutting program, and any commentary on how new tariffs on 60 economies are affecting cross-border volumes heading into the second half.
