U.S. stock futures rose in early Monday trading as investors bought the dip in artificial intelligence names after a rough week. Nasdaq 100 futures were up about 1.1%, S&P 500 futures about 0.5% and Dow futures about 0.1%, while Russell 2000 futures gained roughly 0.5%.
Crude oil and Treasury yields moved lower, easing some of the pressure that weighed on equities on Friday, when stocks closed lower. WTI crude traded near $97 a barrel, down about 2%, and gold hovered near $4,177 an ounce.
The rebound sets the stage for a busy earnings week led by large technology companies. Traders will be watching whether the bounce in AI shares holds once results begin to arrive.
