WTI Crude Jumps Above $103 After Houthi Attacks on Saudi Targets

Oil prices swung sharply on Monday. WTI crude rose more than 2% to about $103.73 after Houthi attacks on Saudi targets, reversing an earlier decline.

Earlier in the session, WTI had fallen 0.88% to $100.50 and Brent slipped 1.47% to $108.20 after the U.S. waived sanctions on Russia. The back-and-forth shows how headline-driven the energy market remains.

Higher crude prices support integrated producers such as Chevron (CVX) and BP, both held in the Dyatome Capital portfolio, but add to fuel-cost pressure for airlines and consumers.
